Tomorroe I Will Continue to Love

– If Tomorrow Starts without Me Poem –

The "If tomorrow starts without me" poem is for the deceased or losing a loved one. Through time, many authors, singers and poets have drawn inspiration for their writing from David Romano's poem.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me Poem

The poem "If Tomorrow Starts Without Me" isn't always about dying. Themes of things ending and how to handle the fallout are more prominently featured.

He (the author) meant it to remind you that even though he stopped or things ended, more life came out of everything he did, and that's where the focus should always be.

For example, if tomorrow begins and you stop writing or pursuing the things you've sought for so long, that search will have ended, and tomorrow will have started without you.

One simple universal fact is that everything will eventually end. The issue is, did we truly appreciate what we had while it was still available? Or these burdens are most appreciated?

When tomorrow starts without me,
And I'm not there to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes
all filled with tears for me,

I wish so much you wouldn't cry
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say.

I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
and each time that you think of me,
I know you'll miss me too.

But when tomorrow starts without me,
Please try to understand,
That an angel came and called my name,
And took me by the hand,
and said my place was ready,
In heaven far above,
And that I'd have to leave behind
All those I dearly love.

But as I turned to walk away,
A tear fell from my eye
For all my life, I'd always thought,
I didn't want to die.

I had so much to live for,
So much left yet to do,
It seemed almost impossible,
That I was leaving you.

I thought of all the yesterdays
The good ones and the bad,
I thought of all the love we shared,
and all the fun we had

If I could re-live yesterday
Just even for a while,
I'd say good-bye and kiss you
And maybe see you smile.

But then I fully realized,
That this could never be,
For emptiness and memories,
would take the place of me.

And when I thought of worldly things,
I might miss come tomorrow,
I thought of you, and when I did,
My heart was filled with sorrow.

But when I walked through heaven's gates,
I felt so much at home
When God looked down and smiled at me,
From His great golden throne.

He said, "This is eternity,
And all I've promised you."
Today your life on earth is past,
But here life starts anew

I promise no tomorrow,
But today will always last,
And since each day's the same way
There's no longing for the past.

You have been so faithful,
So trusting and so true.
Though there were times
You did some things
You knew you shouldn't do.

But you have been forgiven
And now at last you're free.
So won't you come and take my hand
And share my life with me?

So when tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we're far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right here, in your heart.

If Tomorrow Starts Without Me (Version II)

If Tomorrow Starts without Me

Denise Ferguson is a singer-songwriter of pop, country, adult contemporary, lullabies, and spiritual songs. Musicals: Praise the Lord! The comedy It's About to Rain and The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde (adaptation with original music).

If tomorrow starts without me
And I miss the rising sun
If today's the very last day
I can do what must be done
I will take the time to say kind words
Make lasting memories
Make today a day of true love,
If tomorrow starts without me.

If tomorrow starts without me
Please don't fill your eyes with tears
For whatever time I've had
I've had the very best of years
And I'll find that greater realm of life
Where spirits know they're free
And I'll feel your love forever,
If tomorrow starts without me.

Every flower that blooms, every bird that sings,
In Nature's purest law
Tells me life goes on, proves to me God's hand,
Of which I stand in awe.
I can't help but feel a sadness
When I know its time to go
But I pray the hours that we're apart
Will pass before we know.

If tomorrow starts without me
Don't forget to live today
Tell each person, friend and stranger,
That you pass along the way
That their worth is so important
He died that we might be
In the arms of love forever…
Though tomorrow starts without me.

What if Tomorrow Starts Without Me?

What if Tomorrow Starts Without Me?

The poem "What if Tomorrow Starts Without Me?" aims to raise awareness that everyone will pass away at some point.

As a result, the authors express their sadness about the poetry. It is also intended for universal consumption.

It is that moment in life,
When someone is lost in a moment.
It is that moment in life,
When life passes by like a flash in a distance spark.
Life runs as a private jet in front you.
Life runs like the turning in hue.

Death is a reality everyone knows.
It is a needless need if someone shows.
It births a vast void in the heart forever
Which can never be filled even by forever.
There is a void in the heart;
The heart as fragile as the egg of life.

Death is indeed a reality,
That dark reality one should seek
In a bleak.
What if tomorrow starts without me?
Fighting for something obscure,
All run the tested lanes of life
Only to search for peace in which they believe.

If peace is all that you seek and not only gains,
What better than death can you achieve?
Certainly, certainly, tomorrow might start without me.

What if tomorrow starts without me,
Would that be the beginning of my end
And the end of my beginning and being?
What if tomorrow starts without me,
What would my fate be?
What if tomorrow starts without me,
Where would I head to?
What if tomorrow starts without me,
Would I start a journey of beauty and bliss?

What if tomorrow starts without me
What would happen to the BIG, FAT amount
Smiling beautifully in my account
Like a soothed bouncing baby boy
Swimming in comfort of the mother's love and laps?
Can it secure my safety and security
Or buy a hoisting haven or heaven for my soul,
Or will it become a centre of fierce fight among hasty hands?

What if tomorrow starts without me,
What happens to my positions and power and possessions?
Can they fight and force tomorrow to start with me
And end my end?

What if tomorrow starts without me,
Would I start my new journey
With all I fight and cheat to acquire and protect,
Storing for my unknown tomorrow
Whilst I'm surrounded by those who are
Full of emptiness and sated by hunger and thirst?
How would I respond to:
'Did you clothe and feed and visit me
In my nakedness and hunger and in prison'?

What if tomorrow starts without me,
Where would the writhing anger and unforgiveness
Lead and leave me?
Would I wish to forgive then
When too late would be the clothes of my thoughts and ears
And wish it were absent?

What if tomorrow starts without me,
Would I be like a dove,
Flying in the sky of peace and peace,
And bubbling in sweet sweet freedom,
And be safe and happy like a baby in the cloth of the parents' love?

What if tomorrow starts without me:
Where would I start?
Where would I go?
Where would I be?
What would my fate be?
What if tomorrow starts without me?
